Blue, pearls and birthday wishes

This is for Critter 102 sketch:

It's also for Paper Sundaes 107: sundaes bar - I used blue, distressing and pearls.

I used up pieces of paper that were left over from my previous card, distressing the edges of the three panels with broken china DI and scattering pearls on the swirls - so this is my last card of the week using up scraps for Pixie's crafty snippets 7, also for The house that stamps built DCC214 leftovers challenge - using what's left over on your desk. The sentiment is printed and edged with silver foiling although it looks black on the photo.

This is also for:

Dutch dare card 152: distressing
Crafty cardmakers 6: monochrome magic
Crafts and me 71: distressed
Aud sentiments 48: include the word happy

Letters and flowers

'Letters and flowers' is the name of the Penny Black stamp I've used, simply inking with memento tuxedo black and stamping on to a scrap of striped blue and white paper.

I've followed Daniele's sketch for Sketch n stash 81, using up old supplies - the padded fabric hearts have been in the box for some time, as has the lace and ribbon. The background paper is 7 gypsies baja journey, the spotted paper is a piece out of my offcuts box. This is the sketch:

This is for:

Fleur Anya goes to a wedding

I wanted to make a card for the February photo inspiration challenge on Anyone for Anya - this was the photo:

The immediate thought was to make a wedding day card, but I didn't have a Greeting farm image suitable, but went through my Anya stamps and thought that Fleur Anya would be suitable as a flower girl/bridesmaid going to a wedding - the card could even be used as a thank you to a little girl for being a bridesmaid. Fleur Anya was stamped with memento and coloured with copics.

I used the sketch for Sweet Sunday 152:

Once again all the papers are from my offcuts box - even the script background paper is a snippet left over from a 12 x 12 paper, so this is yet another one for Pixie's crafty snippets 7, also for Delightful: use your scraps and The house that stamps built DCC214 leftovers challenge - using what's left over on your desk.

I've had the die cut flowers for ages - thought it was about time I used some of them!

Cupcake thanks

This is for Maggie's sketch on Sunday sketch & stamp 93:

I had offcuts of pinks and browns out from making the last card and I hadn't put away the Kanban cupcake stamps or copics, so I used them on this card, which is another one therefore for Pixie's crafty snippets 7, also for The house that stamps built DCC214 leftovers challenge - using what's left over on your desk. As I've used pink and brown again it's another card for Deep ocean 19.

Cupcakes with love

This card was prompted by the photo inspiration given for Birthday sundaes 43: birthday card using the picture, which must include a heart and a birthday sentiment:

I used three of the yummy Kanban cupcake stamps inked with memento tuxedo black, masked and coloured with copics, each one topped with an epoxy heart. Mad for markers current challenge is 'pink/red' using RV or R copics - I used RV000, RV02,  RV04, RV06, RV10, RV21, RV23 and R85.

'I will always love you' is the theme for Sunday stamper 192, so I'm linking for that. I know that Valentine's day has been and gone, but I think this is still OK for Addicted to stamps 23, because it features love.

All papers are from my offcuts box, so another one or Pixie's crafty snippets 7.

I chose the colours for Deep Ocean 19: pink and brown - I love that colour combo, but haven't used it for a while, so this was a good opportunity.

Perfect pair: two cards, two colours

The challenge for City crafter 96 'perfect pair' is to make 2 cards identical, but with different colours, lilac and blue.

When I was having a crafty sort out recently I came across a box of Blocs by Art & Crafts Direct that I bought years ago - at that time I obviously thought it was a good idea to buy loads and loads of them, use a few and then leave them at the back of the cupboard. So I decided to use these for this challenge.

The flowers are habico held in the middle with tiny flower brads, sticky stitched ribbons from Hobbycraft  and sentiments from stash.

These are also for:

Suzie's 365 day 49: domestic

As it really hurts my back to bend, it's usually John's job to load/unload the dishwasher, so here he is doing this domestic chore for Suzie's day 49.

I've just realised that it looks as if there's snow in the garden, but it's just the way the light has reflected on the window - definitely no snow, thank goodness!

CHNC challenge 60: create a scene

There's a new challenge over on my CHNC blog and for this week I'm asking you to 'create a scene'. Challenge 60 is being sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop - you can read more about it here.

For my card I've used a digital stamp supplied by Digi Doodle Shop called 'Christmas church'. I digitally coloured the scene in Paint, leaving most of it as snow, which fits the For fun challenge: I love snow.

I followed the sketch for Sketchy Colors 104:

I used various offcuts from my Christmas scraps box - another for Pixie's Crafty Snippets 7 and for Delightful: use your scraps, keeping the theme to blue, white and silver for Christmas crafting February 8.

I punched two snowflakes with a woodware punch and centred them with brads, which is OK for Jingle belles: all buttoned-up (brads are allowed instead of buttons),also for Frosted designs fabulous Friday: brads and/or eyelets, also Shopping our stash 39: metal mania.
