A masculine card

This card is based on Sketch n stash 63:

The idea of Sketch n stash is to use new or neglected stash - well, the lighthouse stamp is a new Kanban one, coloured with copics. The impressabilities sea scape has been rather neglected - I used it when I first bought it, but it has been boxed away for quite some time. I embossed some white card with it, running it through the cuttlebug, an then swiped it with stazon ultramarine on the debossed side. The image was cut with a scalloped nestie and edged with stormy sky DI and stazon ultramarine.

As it will be Father's Day in the UK next Sunday, it's inevitable that there are a lot of challenges around atm asking for a masculine card. Unfortunately, my dad died over seven years ago so I no longer make Father's Day cards and never seem to get commissioned for any. So my card is a 'general' masculine one, but it would also be suitable for Father's Day - which will be good to have if someone asks for one at the last minute. So it's for the following:

Golden Christmas angel

Sparkles creations Christmas 2011 week 28 challenge is this sketch:

Last week their challenge was to use gold, cream and white, but I didn't get around to doing a card for this, but thought I would use these colours for this card.

I stuck a piece of creamy white vellum on to a cream card base using my xyron - this is the only sure way of sticking vellum without any adhesive showing. The foiled white and gold squares are Kanban card.

The Rubber Stampede angel collage is one of my favourite Christmas stamps - I coloured the image with copics.

This was one of those cards that is difficult to photograph, particularly in poor light on a rainy day (not flaming June here!).

Floral plate

This is for Less is more 19: one layer - in the frame. It was one of those cards that seemed simple enough until I made it! The first time I stamped the lovely Hero Arts floral frame it didn't quite ink properly, the second time was fine, but somehow I caught my ink pad on it afterwards, so this was third time lucky! At least I practised on the other two to know where to get the sentiment before stamping it on the final one. The calligraphy sentiment is by Whipper Snapper designs. The frame design is just right too for 365 cards day 61 'I've been framed' - to use a stamped image of a frame - and, yes, I am still playing along with some of the earlier 365 challenges - not sure that I'll ever catch up though!

I coloured with copics G21, G85 and R05 and distressed the edges of the white card with bundled sage DI after rounding the corners. The colours were chosen for Picture perfect creations 61:

Sweet pop up

This is a quick card that almost made itself. In fact, I hadn't really intended to make it, but came across the box where some of these ready die cut pop up cards are housed and thought 'why not'? The sentiments are rub ons.

So, all I had to do was put the cupcakes in the right places and hey presto!
